Graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Her nursing career started in the hospital setting working in a variety of units including long term respiratory, neurology, orthopedics, ER, Burn, ICU and CCU. She also worked as a traveling nurse for one year and had assignments in Hawaii, Texas and Illinois working in ICU, CCU and Post Anesthesia Recovery. Spent several years as a Senior Utilization Review Coordinator with North Western National Life Health Management Corporation and helped to develop and implement a medical assistance program in MN. Started with CorVel Corporation in 1995 and had a variety of assignments including Telephonic Case Management Manager, Onsite Case Management, Legal Nurse Review, Catastrophic Case Management, and member of the Professional Bill Review Task Force. Kim Olson LNC Inc. was started in 2019 as a sole proprietor corporation. She has performed Legal Nurse Consulting services for numerous cases including FELA, Occupational Cancer, Workers’ Compensation, as well as Enhanced Medical Bill Review Evaluations.
